1: Book a date

Between mini sessions and busy season, it's never too early to secure your date and start working on planning your session. Once we've settled on a day that works best for you and your loved ones, I'll send over a contract and invoice with payment information, including your retainer. The contract and retainer must be completed and paid within 24 hours of booking to save your date and time! Once received, you'll get an email with my Welcome Guide, which has tonnes of helpful information on styling and preparing for your session.

If you're an expecting mom or have just given birth and want to capture those precious first days, send me a message as soon as you can! Maternity photo sessions are done between 30-34 weeks and newborn sessions are usually done within the first 2 weeks of birth.

2: Investment

My pricing is based on your desired session length. By choosing to book with me, you are investing in the time and love I put into making your session and images amazing! I hand edit every image to make sure you stand out and look your best. Once the initial retainer has been paid to book, the remaining balance is due on the day of your session before we start.

3: Experience

I am with you every step of the way! After booking, I work with you on helping to style every member of your family, so you look and feel your best selves. I have a styling guide, Pinterest board with ideas (I know sometimes it's easier to visualize when you can see someone else wearing it!) and links to outfit pieces if you're looking to try something new. I also work with you on outfits you already have in mind, suggest tweaks if needed, and coordinate. We work on a location that has meaning to you - sometimes it's as simple as your own home! I find ideas that will tell your story based on an in-depth questionnaire I send out and we chat back and forth until your session date! Then comes the fun! I offer an unposed approach, meaning we look for the real, fun, emotional moments that happen naturally. I might notice your family together in a perfect pose and say, "ALL EYES ON ME!" to get that ever-popular mantle image, but otherwise your session is about raw connection.

4: Gallery Delivery

Full sessions are usually delivered within 3 weeks out of busy season, and within 4-6 weeks during busy season (anytime between September and the end of the year). Weddings are usually 4-6 weeks and mini sessions are 2-4 weeks. After culling any funny (but not the most flattering) images of half closed eyes, rogue fingers up noses or mom giving her family "the look," I go through each image by hand. I fix small imperfections, work on bringing out colours, enhance little details, and make sure you are the star. I never half-heartedly work through a gallery to get your images out faster, but can move your session to the front of my editing queue for a rush fee, if you need them sooner.
